Fortnite: The Never-Ending Trend

Fortnite is a video game that has been dominating the gaming industry for years now. It’s free, fun and can be played on all your devices as long as you have a Fortnite account! But what is it really? And why are we so obsessed with it? Let’s explore how this game came to dominate our lives and without a doubt, will continue to do so for years to come.

About Fortnite

For those who don’t know, Fortnite is a video game where you play as an avatar in one of four teams (outfit colors) against other players or AI bots in order to complete building missions or eliminate the opposing team from the map by gathering resources from chests around the map which can then be used to build and protect your fort and base. This game is awesome because it brings the best parts of Minecraft and popular shooter games together into one awesome free game that can be played on all devices.

Fortnite’s Timeline

Let’s take a quick look at how this awesome game came to be what it is today, shall we?

In June of 2017, Fortnite entered Early Access as a paid game on PC. A few months later in September, the game was released for free on all platforms. The next month in October, Epic Games announced that Fortnite had reached 20 million players. The end of 2017 brought huge success for Fortnite as it hit a record breaking 3.4 million concurrent players which broke their previous record that was held by PUBG, another popular multiplayer game. To this day, that record still stands as the highest number of players for any single player FPS on Steam. In February of 2018, Fortnite reached 45 million players.

How to Play Fortnite

Now that you know a little bit about Fortnite, let’s talk about how to play.

Once you have the game downloaded and installed, open it up and you will be prompted to create an account or login if you already have one.

Next, you will need to choose your avatar. You can select from one of four different teams (outfit colors): blue, pink, green or purple.

After that, you will be taken to the main lobby where you can join a game in progress, start your own or play against AI bots.

A new match will start with all 100 players dropping from a flying bus on to the map, descending slowly as they fight for gear and survive as the storm closes in. Only those who remain on the battlefield as it shrinks will be victorious!

Skins

Skins are one of the coolest things about Fortnite. They are cosmetic items that you can use to change the appearance of your avatar. There are a ton of different skins to choose from and they come in all different colors and styles. Some of the skins are free while others can be purchased with V-bucks, the in-game currency. You can also get skins as rewards for completing challenges or leveling up your account.

The best thing about skins is that they are totally optional. You don’t have to use them if you don’t want to.

What is the most sweatiest skin in Fortnite

The most sweaty skin in Fortnite has to be the Scaredy Cat skin. The thing about this skin is that it’s so cute, but it also looks like the cat wants to run away from something. What I love about this skin is that you can still see its eyes being wide open even if it’s just a cat, which just makes it way funnier.

Conclusion

Fortnite is one of the most popular games in recent years, and it’s not hard to see why. This game can be played on all your devices for free with no ads or interruptions; players are able to customize their avatars (skins) and play against other people online via multiplayer modes. The best part about this game? It never ends!
