Key Features of Division 2 That Newcomers will Encounter

Ubisoft released Division – a project about survival in post-apocalyptic Washington, where, after a major disaster, many gangs and players settled in the city, vying for resources and control over territories. The first part failed because although players liked the new survival shooter format, the overall optimization was so disgusting that most gamers simply refused to play the project from Ubisoft.

Now the company is releasing the second part, where players will find new graphics, a good and stable FPS and the opportunity to receive division 2 boosting in the type of project in which the first part was supposed to be implemented.

Military base

All players will start at a military base – this is your main home for the entire game.

Here you will receive tasks, strengthen your hero, craft and disassemble weapons, study the skills of your agent and plan new operations.

Weapons and other equipment

As you play, you will find different weapons, and if at the beginning of the game literally anything that can shoot and kill suits you, then in the future you will have to focus your efforts on high-quality and good assault weapons.

First of all, you need rifles – these are the longest-range and effective weapons at any distance from which you can deliver headshots and storm enemy positions with heavy fire.

Then you can collect automatic weapons, which do not have sufficient range, but at close and medium distances they cause fatal damage to any target.

It is better to abandon pistols and shotguns right away, because they are only good in close combat, and if there are many enemies, or they have good and strong armor, then your chances of winning will be significantly reduced.

It is also worth keeping a sniper rifle in your arsenal – even despite the cover system, the chance to destroy the enemy at a long distance without risking yourself close up is an excellent option that should be used at every opportunity.

Each weapon will have its own quality type, which will affect damage, firing speed and firing range. It is not difficult to identify them; they differ in color in the inventory and can be common, rare, mythic or legendary.

Weapons must be searched for, or created from various rubbish, of which there is a lot throughout the Division, or which are obtained by disassembling objects of any value.

The stronger the weapon your enemies use, the thicker the armor and helmet you need so as not to die in a couple of hits, but to confront a group of enemies on equal terms.

You need a helmet because it increases your chances of survival even after a direct hit to the head. This does not mean that you will regularly experience them, but any increase in survivability can help you in a critical situation.

To a greater extent, you will need body armor, which will significantly reduce damage from any weapon that will come into your body.

The higher the class of such body armor, the more powerful weapons it can withstand and your enemies will only have to shoot a large number of bullets into the body, or hit the head, which is much more difficult.

Accessories for your weapons

As you play through The Division 2, you will find not only different weapons, but also ways to strengthen them.

You should look for different means of approaching for shooting and increasing accuracy – sights and collimators, handles, precision stabilizers and silencers, in order to carry out full-fledged operations and destroy a large number of enemies from a safe distance and not attract the attention of other players and gangs.

Analysis of equipment

As you play and boost in Division 2 at any level, you will find many types of weapons and armor of low and medium quality, which are quite difficult to sell profitably, and you will not use them due to ineffectiveness, or you will quickly exchange them for more valuable items.

These types of weapons and armor are not worth selling – they are worth nothing, but they are worth dismantling.

When you disassemble any item, you receive resources of its level and a chance to get more valuable consumables, which will become the basis for crafting Mythic and Legendary weapons. It won’t be easy or quick, but it’s a good alternative to using accumulated resources that will help strengthen your agent with items obtained during boosting in Division 2.

Quests and combat operations

As you progress through your gameplay, you need to constantly raise the level of your hero and constantly boost into Division 2 in order to discover new skills and strengthen your combat potential, increase the quantity of materials for future crafting and their quality, and also increase the overall experience gain for all tasks and events.

When you take on combat operations, you need to know that they bring a fixed % in each experience scale, and it is more profitable to perform them at higher levels, when progress is more difficult to achieve, and you will overcome the first levels without problems.

Outposts

As you progress through your gameplay, you will quickly realize that there are a lot of bandits around that you need to constantly avoid or destroy. Moreover, there is no particular point in hunting them, because they are not distinguished by really good equipment.

Therefore, you need to turn your attention to outposts – special zones in which enemies are entrenched and if you knock them out, the number of gangs will decrease and only other players will be a problem.

You need to clear the post and eliminate all the enemies that are on it in order to free this territory.

This can be done in two ways:

  1. Use a sniper rifle to eliminate all available targets, and then finish off the remaining ones with your main weapon.
  2. Storm the post using grenades and shelters, as well as all available means that you can use to destroy opponents and weaken territories.

Over time, enemies may try to regain their lost position, so periodically you will return to repel the attack, or knock them out again if you ignore these attacks for a long time.

Cover system

In Division 2, you will be able to literally stick to cover and poke your head out from behind it, so as not to expose the entire agent to the risk of getting shot.

Use them whenever possible, and third-person gameplay will help you better see your opponents and their plans so you can choose the best time to attack.

You will simply monitor the movement of enemies, but they will not see you, which is very convenient for battles.

Conclusions on mechanics and opportunities for newcomers to Division 2

D2 is a new project from Ubisoft, which was a good attempt to rehabilitate itself for the failure of the first part, in which players liked the gameplay and the format of survival in dangerous territory, but the main complaint concerned the optimization, because of which the project failed completely.

The second part received a graphics update and significant gameplay improvements and FPS stabilization for all players, and now Ubisoft has a new opportunity to convey its idea to gamers.

You will begin your journey and boosting into Division 2 at a military base, where you will plan your operations and missions, work with equipment and weapons, train, craft and develop your agent. From it, you will go out into a dangerous world and return to it.

You will have access to weapons and various armor, which will have different types of quality and will have to be found, obtained for quests or operations, picked up from killed enemies, or crafted.

You will have to collect a lot of useless equipment and weapons that will quickly lose their relevance and instead of storing it or selling it for next to nothing, it is better to process it into resources to get a chance to earn valuable materials for crafting high-quality items, or sell resources that are often cost more.

There are many tasks and operations waiting for you, but at the same time, the system does not regulate the time when you want to complete them, and you should not rush too much, because each operation brings you a fixed filling of the experience scale and the higher the level, the more difficult it is to fill it in order unlock new class skills. Since the first levels are always given quickly, it is better to postpone them until later.

As you move around the map, you will quickly notice that there are a lot of bandits on it, who are not particularly useful in terms of equipment and weapons, but there are many problems with constant firefights. Their number can be reduced by capturing key outposts.

It’s not difficult to storm them, especially if you have a good sniper rifle and a silencer, but going in and clearing them with an assault weapon won’t be much of a problem, especially if you use the cover system.
