There are many different ways to start a house, as this article will show. In fact, there is nearly an infinite number of ways to start building a house, but these ideas should be enough to get you started. If not, look up more ideas on the internet and create your own way to build a house! The ideas below are free to use, if you want to make adjustments to the design, go ahead. Be creative.
Minecraft small survival house step-by-step:
Step 1:
First, start with a small room. This will be your base and/or storage area (if there is no other use for this room). You can also add rooms later on to create more space for different things. It’s better to have all the other rooms in the house before adding extra space because it will be easier to decorate.
Step 2:
Next, you will want a place to sleep or a place that can be used for sleeping. This does not have to be the only bedroom in the house. The room(s) should also have storage space and/or crafting space. Read more later on about this in “additions”.
Step 3:
The next room would be for cooking. You could also use this room as a crafting room or both, but this is up to you. This room will most likely be the biggest one of your house (if not, it will at least be really big).
Step 4:
After the cooking/crafting room comes the bathroom. This is not always necessary, but it makes life easier and can even add to the look of your house with glass windows, light colors, etc.
Step 5:
After that comes a room for dining purposes or ‘relaxing’. It is important to have this room separate from the kitchen because it will make cooking much more efficient. This room will be about the same size as the cooking room.
Step 6:
The final rooms are usually multiple bedrooms, but you could also use one of these rooms for other things. Some people just have one bedroom, while others can have 10 or more bedrooms in their house. Also remember that if this is your first minecraft house, it is a good idea to keep it small and simple. You can always add on to the house in the future if you want to.
Step 7:
After your house is done (or even before), you may want to start growing grass or adding trees around your house for decoration. A perfect green lawn with flowers is very inviting and will increase your odds of survival. Minecraft houses are very small, so it would be wise to take advantage of the space you have available.
The next step is up to you…
…because there are many different ways to start building a house in minecraft! Go ahead and create something new or follow this simple tutorial exactly if you want. There is no “best” way to build a house in minecraft, but there are some things that make life easier. For example, it’s a good idea to have stone bricks or brick under your windowsills because they can stop spiders from entering your home. If you want to be even more careful about safety, add glass windows and wooden doors to your windowsills so you can see what’s outside without letting monsters in. You can also make a glass door and place it next to your front door so you can see outside and the monsters cannot get in. (Do not leave your house if security is a concern; stay inside and close all doors and windows.)
When building this house, you do not have to go from 1-7 in order. You could do 1, 3, and then 5. It’s up to you! If you have ideas or suggestions, put a comment in the box below and/or share your ideas with someone else. Your ideas could help someone else build a house or they might inspire you to build something new.
If this sounds confusing, don’t worry about it right now, but think about these things as you build!
